Following the recent incident of the revoking of the Skye Bank operations license by Nigeria’s apex bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Senator representing the Central senatorial zone in Kaduna, Shehu Sani seeks an investigation into the matter.
“When a Bank crashes, there should be an investigation and disclosure of how it crashes and who are the culprits” he stated on his Twitter handle.
He further called for the prosecution of whosoever is involved in the processes that led to the crashing of the bank.
“…and the prosecution of those involved” he stated.
He however praised the steps taken CBN that led to the takeover of the bank that is expected to protect customers.
“Takeover is good, but names and faces need to be attached to those responsible” he declared.
It would be recalled that that Polaris Bank has taken over the Skye Bank after CBN withdrew its operations license.
