The Senator representing Kano central Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says President Muhammadu Buhari is misinformed to have said that he diverted state funds for his presidential campaign and that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje completed the good projects he abandoned saying is not true.

“The president was misinformed, he has no idea about what is going on in Kano.
“There is no project left behind by me that was completed by Ganduje. What he completed are the former Governor Shekarau’s uncompleted projects not mine.
“I instructed my supporters not to react to that as there was no need because those informing the president lied to him” he said.

Senator Kwankwaso spoke in a two hour live program on Aminchi FM radio in Kano on Monday where he reacted to a lot of issues he kept mute about.

He explained that he is one of those who have regards for President Buhari and does not think it is proper for those around him to be concocting lies to him especially in an international arena in France.

He further explained that the projects being referred to as abandoned were in the health sector initiated and left behind by former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau who has now joined the ruling All Progressive Congress APC.

Concerning the video clips showing the Kano state governor allegedly collecting bribe from contractors, Sen Kwankwaso said he was aware of the clips before they were released to the public and pleaded for them not to be released, but they didn’t listen to his plea.

He said he is not happy that such video clips were made public because it is an embarrassment to the state and its people including himself.

He reiterated his reason for anointing Abba Kabiru Yusuf to contest under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Kano insisting that he is the most qualified.

Kwankwaso explained that Abba was part of the initiators and executors of all the major infrastructural development projects in Kano state executed under him as the governor while he was the works commissioner.
